Position: Materials Handler, Available Locations:
$16.28 - $21.01 hr

Summary:

The Materials Handler position is responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, counting product and pulling and preparing orders for delive1y. Helps support company operations by maintaining the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. Responsible for helping to keep the warehouse space neat and orderly.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Pull and prepare orders for shipment, delivering the proper paperwork, packaging, and quantity for each order to the required destination in shipping and receiving.
  • Operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, tractor, and all other necessary equipment.
  • Utilize computer equipment to print and stage orders.
  • Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming materials.
  • Remain knowledgeable of chemicals/material at facility and specific PPE requirements.
  • Ensure the warehouse area is cleaned and that all safety procedures are being followed at all times by yourself and your teammates.
  • Organize material in the warehouse to utilize available space and minimize steps when pulling orders.
  • Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Attach identifying tags or mark product with identifying information.
  • Read work orders and receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or materials or equipment needs.
  • Assist office personnel with monthly physical inventory counts

Position: Delivery Driver (Class A), Available Locations:
$21.00 - $25.47 hr

Summary:

Assist in providing and delivering excellent service and product to our customers. Drive a truck and/or pull a trailer primarily to deliver or pick up materials. Drivers will load and unload their vehicle. Communicate consistently with Mid Valley Agricultural Services Inc.’s Dispatchers. Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse. Keep records and compile stock reports.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Work alongside Dispatchers to safely and efficiently deliver products.
  • Receive orders (pull tags, invoices) to pull orders from dispatch.
  • Pull, check, count, and verify orders as requested
  • Load truck with materials and secure all loads/product on truck.
  • Check order count being loaded, verify quantities are accurate according to shipping papers.
  • Check all safety items daily (first-aid kits, fire extinguisher, tie down straps, spill kits).
  • Keep paperwork in proper place inside of vehicle.
  • Upon delivery, verify quantity being delivered and unloaded.
  • Keep accurate log of deliveries.
  • Follow all rules and regulations of hazardous materials, having an understanding of what placarding is required for all materials being hauled.
  • Understand limitations of licensing, vehicle, and equipment.
  • Keep vehicles clean and free of trash and debris.
  • Report any issues to dispatch and Branch Manager.
  • Inspect Vehicle before and after trip.

Position: Operations Associate, Available Locations:
$16.00 - $18.30 hr

Summary:

The Operations Associate will work closely with various positions within the company’s Operations department. Responsible for being the first to receive, inspect and wash all fertilizer and yard equipment. The Operations Associate plays an important role in providing clean, functional and ready to used equipment at a fast pace.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Wash and inspect all fertilizer and yard equipment (i.e. such as bulk tanks, spreaders, hoses, etc.)
  • Move and organize all yard equipment.
  • Operate equipment such as a forklift, tractor and loader.
  • Remain knowledgeable of chemicals/material at facility and specific PPE requirements.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and that all safety procedures are being followed at all times by yourself and your team mates.
  • Assist with all other operations activities, as needed.

Position: Shop Technician, Available Locations:
$24.00 - $28.00 hr

Summary:

Independently performs advanced troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, assembles and overhauls agricultural equipment and company vehicles. Completes tasks in a safe and timely manner. Assists with other operations as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.
  • Examine machines and perform troubleshooting tests to determine functionality problems.
  • Monitor inventory and request new parts when necessary.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and repair vehicles or equipment in the field.
  • Weld and fabricate, as needed.
  • Use computer diagnostic tooling for repairs.
  • Knowledge of or able to learn mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
  • Assemble mechanical components according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, tractor, and other warehouse, shop, or yard equipment. (Training and certification can be obtained through MVAS)
  • Maintain records on all required vehicles and equipment.

  • Experience working with the following: Pumps, Vehicles, Loaders and Agriculture (or similar) equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, and general mechanics.
